About the Calendar
The Badí calendar was introduced by the Báb and confirmed by Baháʼuʼlláh. It begins with Naw-Rúz at the spring equinox and consists of 19 months of 19 days, with four or five intercalary days known as Ayyám-i-Há.
A Baháʼí day begins at sunset and ends at sunset the following day. Holy Days and Feasts therefore begin at sunset on the preceding Gregorian date.
