In building true and sustainable progress in the world, equality between women and men is an essential foundation that cannot be overlooked. As society continues to recognize, value and enable the role of women, their capacity to contribute to the development of families and communities becomes increasingly evident.

Over the course of three days, women gathered for a special conference dedicated to reflection, learning and consultation on how they can strengthen and expand their contribution to the development of their families and communities. Throughout the conference, participants studied the Sacred Writings and messages of the Universal House of Justice concerning the role of women in the development of families and communities.

One of the key insights that emerged was the understanding that the family is the foundation for building a society characterized by moral values, unity and sustainable development. It was emphasized that every home can become a centre for worship, meaningful and constructive conversations, service to others, and various educational activities offered through training institutes.

Participants also reflected on the importance of family groups as an effective means of broadening the participation of individuals and families in the process of building vibrant communities. Through these groups, families strengthen friendships, learn together, and participate in activities that foster spiritual and social development.

The conference also highlighted the important role of mothers as the first educators of children. It was recognized that women have a unique contribution to make in laying the foundation for good values, noble character and the spiritual lives of children and young people. This understanding has strengthened the commitment to advancing educational programmes and enhancing family participation in the upbringing and development of the next generation.

At the conclusion of the conference, participants departed with renewed enthusiasm and determination to continue strengthening their families, actively participate in community-building activities, and serve as catalysts for progress in the areas where they live.

The learning gained during the conference has laid an important foundation for advancing communities characterized by unity and moral values, and capable of nurturing children and young people in environments that foster human dignity, service to others and sustainable development.
